![]() ![]() Kingdom's Edge is the area where the Pale King arrived as a large Wyrm before the kingdom was founded. In the south-west is the entrance to the Hive and access to a Tram. Further north is the entrance to the Colosseum of Fools. Bardoon is located in the north part of the area near the central cliff. The King's Brand can be found in this sub-area. Hornet is fought near the Cast-Off Shell in the very east of Kingdom's Edge. A breakable floor below him leads to the Quick Slash Charm and the largest Geo deposit in Hallownest. Nailmaster Oro is located south-east of him. East of this area the Warrior Dream Markoth can be found, hidden behind a Shade Gate. At the bottom of this cliff lies a pit of acid. The central part of the area contains the largest cliff from which the corpses of warriors from the Colosseum of Fools are thrown down. The rest of the cavern walls consist of rocks and fossilised shells. There is little vegetation except for large white roots that protrude from the walls and colourless plants that grow on numerous surfaces. The cliff range of Kingdom's Edge is characterised by its strong winds and ash that blankets the caverns. Beating him grants the Rivalry achievement. He is quite inept in combat and regularly messes up his jumps. ![]() He simply has to be attacked until the fight is over. As a boss, he deals no damage due to his nail being made of shellwood. He then becomes the final boss of the first trial. If the Knight saves him both times, he is captured and can be found in the resting area of the Colosseum of Fools, where he brags about his skills and how his capture was part of his plan. If saved, he once again complains about the Knight meddling in his supposed heroics. Once again the Knight has the choice to either save him or leave him, though this time leaving him does not result in his death. He has forgotten the Knight and introduces himself again.įound stuck in spider webs, presumably having been captured by the beasts of Deepnest. Zote can be found in a corridor leading back to the storerooms of the City of Tears. If he is saved in Greenpath, Zote shows up in Dirtmouth, where he once again talks to the Knight in an arrogant fashion. Hitting his shell here grants the Neglect achievement. If he is not saved before acquiring the Mantis Claw, he dies in this location, with his nail and shell remaining. If saved, he complains that the Knight got in the way between him and his "prey", he introduces himself and boasts about his supposed mighty deeds. He is held in the mandibles of a Vengefly King, and the Knight has the choice to either save him or leave him. He regards the Knight as beneath him and accuses them of constantly getting in his way.įound along the path leading to Greenpath. While he claims to be the strongest warrior in the land, he is found trapped by weak enemies or claiming the glory of another bug's deeds. Unfortunately, because it is made of shellwood, it cannot deal damage. He named his nail "Life Ender" because names supposedly have power. This is ultimately revealed to be a promise of glory for himself. ![]() Now all that’s left to do is go find them and receive a ton of Geo as a reward.Zote is a traveller from outside Hallownest who came to the Kingdom to fulfill a promise. This is The Collector’s Map, which will display the locations of every undiscovered Grub in the game with a pin that has the face of a Grub. To the left of them will be a desk with a shiny object on it. Just whack him with your nail and he’ll dissolve into black ooze before letting out one final, disturbing bout of laughter.Ĭontinue up the tower and you’ll find three trapped Grubs in the area above. When he’s just about dead, he’ll stand still while hunched over and melting. ![]() He's pretty fast, but if you avoid his attacks and the falling jars, you should be able to handle him. He’ll then leap up into the ceiling and begin dropping jars that contain additional enemies for you to kill. The Collector’s main attacks involve jumping left and right while occasionally swiping at you. The ensuing boss fight can be difficult, but it’s also pretty straightforward. Head up the tower and The Collector will eventually show up and begin laughing hysterically. It’s a rather unnerving part of the game as you’ll hear creepy laughing and see bugs trapped inside glass jars. You’ll now be inside the padded sanctuary of The Collector. ![]()
